As a rule of the thumb all camera phones have at least GPRS if I am wrong then you can give me an example.

I will proceed to give out the basic settings you must have before you can browse free with your MTN line. Then I will point out areas that are involved in giving you a free browsing.
The settings can be received and saved automatically on your phone if you send Settings in a text message to 3888.
But if that fails then you can use the manual settings below.

Manual Set Up Instructions
There are some phones that can only be setup manually. To setup your phone manually, you need to enter the following information, as applicable, on your phone: Any device you use needs to be configured to use MTN’s Data Network (the same settings apply to GPRS and 3.5G).

Wap Settings
GPRS/3.5G Settings
Account Name = MTN GPRS
IP Address = 10.199.212.2
Port = 9201 (for WAP) or 8080 (for HTML)
Username = web
Password = web
Access Point Name (APN) = web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net

Domain = mtn.com.ng
MMS Settings
Account Name = MTN MMS
Access Point Name (APN) = web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
Service Centre Address = http://10.199.212.8/servlets/mms
IP Address = 10.199.212.2
Port = 9201 (for WAP) or 8080 (for HTML)
Username = web
Password = web
Domain = mtn.com.ng

This tutorial is a broad spectrum tutorial no particular phone is being targeted but this settings tend to work for most low end phones. But S60 phones tend work on a different way which I will also explain.
If your homepage is http://www.freemtnbrowsing.blogspot.com/, then putting this code makes it free because MTN servers will not recognize the site as a foreign site and hence will not charge for data transferred over it. http://music.mtnonline.com%2f%3a%000@www.freemtnbrowsing.blogspot.com

The principle on which it works is beyond the scope of this basic tutorial but I can still do a tutorial on that if someone is interested. With that knowledge you will not have to depend on the IT experts to give the codes but you can produce the free MTN browsing codes yourself.

For S60 Phones

These phones with an example being Nokia N71 don’t tend to work if you put the code in the homepage of the native browser. But there is an option and it lies in an application, known as Opera Mini Mod, this is the modified version of Opera Mini, a browser software designed by Opera for mobile phones. You would have heard of Solibay browser and Proweb browser. These are modified forms of Opera Mini Mod. Here is a link to download the browser.
